Campus Police

Operation Purpose

Because most of the students at KAIST live in the domitories, the institute established and has been managing the campus police system since November of 1996, in order to maintain public peace and order and create an academic atmosphere.

Main Tasks
  • Maintaining public peace and order on campus.
  • Prevention of fire and theft.
  • Instruction and control of traffic safety.
  • Campus patrol for fire and crime prevention.
  • Restricting unauthorized on campus entrance.
  • Treatment and evacuation of the emergency patient.
  • Other requests made by the president.
  • Number of campus police: 10 (3 during the day, 3 at night)
  • Operation Method: 3 groups, 3 shifts
